Bio

Roman is a New Jersey/Philadelphia based scenic designer. Regionally, his work has been seen at Capital Repertory Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, People’s Light and Theatre, Florida Studio Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, InterAct Theatre Company, Azuka Theatre, ACT II Playhouse, Passage Theatre, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Mount Gretna Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Company (Santa Barbara), Delaware Theatre Company and the Walnut Street Theatre.

Off-Broadway: The Banana Monologues (Acorn Theatre); Honky, Beyond Words, The Oxford Roof Climbers Rebellion, Roses in December, Apostasy, The Sweepers, Comfort Women, Mother Lolita, Seven Rabbits on a Pole and the musical 27 Rue de Fleurus. (Urban Stages); Mother Courage, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Triumph of Love, Dona Rosita The Spinster, The Threepenny Opera, Dames At Sea, The Maids, The Miser (Jean Cocteau Rep) as well as the 20th anniversary production of Closer Than Ever directed by Richard Maltby, Jr. (Queens Theatre in the Park).

His many Off-Off-Broadway projects include Bee-Luther-Hatchee (Audelco Award nom.), Sacred Journey, Two Rooms, The Cure At Troy, Medal of Honor Rag, Ionesco’s Macbett (NYC premier) and Four Beers to name a few.

He lives with his wife and dogs in Titusville, N.J. and is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
